All In One Desktop Computers

All In One Computers such as the shuttle models have never really caught the fancy of the public. Drawbacks to the all-in-ones have been the severe lack of upgradability, and the limitations of the hardware. Many of the manufacturers have put slower or outdated processors in these units to hold down the prices but this has backfired.

One of the anticipated markets was the college students and the lack of available of desktop space they had. What the manufacturers over looked was the fact that this very population was big into gaming and multimedia such as video and MP3. These units do not have the oomph to effectively satisfy these needs. If you are just going to surf the web or do word processing and a mild amount of video then they would be a good desktop computer deal for you.
